Hello and welcome to SPORTPOOLS.CA! This site is conceived and designed by a Sergey Bakaev and Andrew Opala. We live in Toronto and Mississauga, respectively. We have merged our talents at building successful pools for such sports and events as Euro2004, NHL play-off Hockey, WorldCup2006, NFL Regular Season, le Tour de France and NCAA College Football in this adventure.

We are sports fanatics and this site is all about sports and making watching and participating in sports more exciting. We hope you will find that trying to guess the outcomes of sporting events increases your interest in those games, and increases your awareness of the skills (and sometime lack of skills) of the participants. You will also be able to participate in a community of like-minded individuals that like watching and guessing as much as you do! With the future of real-time updates for sporting events, we hope you will enjoy the local access to some often-overlooked international sporting events. We will be offering as many sports as our tired little hands can type into these web pages. There is just so much great sport out there that we want to help you navigate through the hundreds of channels and web sites for you to get to the game that fills your need!

Right now this site is an expense only. We have chosen to place advertising on some of the pages to help us cover the costs of hosting and some software licenses. We believe that side-bar or top-banner advertising is more acceptable and suitable for our site than pop-ups and inline advertising. Sport is not our invention, neither are the feeds of results nor games-to-be-played. Our addition to the mix is to bring together the best elements of sports fans, sports, pools, fantasy sports, live Web and Mobile updates, TV and Radio schedules - and the feeling of being able to "whip" your friends and the people you work with by your sport acumen (or luck!).

Some of the areas of the site require registration. Registration is for areas that are personalized for only you - like your game picks, pool membership, or forum comments. Registration requires a valid email address. The purpose of this is to let you request your password if you have forgotten it. We have no interest in disturbing you - we have lives of our own. Please accept that we will not give out or sell this information to anyone and we will use the best of our abilities not to let it be hacked by anyone.
